What is the CSRA HEA?
The Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) is a region centered by, and surrounding, Augusta, Georgia. This region is comprised of thirteen Georgia counties and five South Carolina counties.
The Georgia counties includes: Lincoln, Wilkes, Washington, Warren, Taliaferro, Hancock, McDuffie, Columbia, Richmond, Burke, Jefferson, Glascock, and Jenkins.
The South Carolina counties include: McCormick, Edgefield, Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale.
The CSRA Home Education Association is a Christian association of homeschoolers seeking to encourage one another in privilege of training up their children to love and serve the Lord their God. Though individuals do not have to be professed Christians to join our association, the Board of Directors and Coordinators each annually sign a profession of faith. As well, those joining are asked to sign a statement of acknowledgement and agreement to our rules of conduct. The association functions as a result of a large group of volunteers - not paid staff - seeking to serve other homeschoolers. We are truly blessed to have such a fine group of men and women sacrificing their time and resources.

What Are The Benefits of Membership?
Though there are many benefits, the four primary benefits that most families focus on are:
Our association is able to provide nationally recognized testing for a reasonable price. As the association is staffed by volunteers, we currently only need to charge $20.00 per student.
Others may refer to this as socialization. However, in the Christian community getting together is beyond social - it's spiritual!
Membership in the association provides an opportunity to be part of the newsletter and email distribution. Many of the assocation members are also members of the Home School Legal Defense Association which looks out for homeschool interests at both the national and state government levels. Hence, through the association you can find other likeminded believers seeking to equip their children at home through Care Groups, Co-ops, Field Trips, Association events, etc.
We have been blessed to offer the homeschool community a full cap and gown commencement ceremony for our graduating seniors. We consider our commencement exercises to be a service of praise to God for what He has done in our children's lives and a service of honor to the students and their accomplishments by God's grace. Unless you are new to the area, you must be a member before September 30th of the school year in order to participate in the spring graduation. Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, there will be a $75.00 graduation fee. The fee will be reduced by $25.00 for each consecutive year a family has been a member prior to the current school year. (Further details are given on the new application.)
